My career began in 1979 with the Cosmetology 2000-hour program at Shoreline Community College. My first class in Swedish massage was there. We included facials, business, hair barbering – everything was combined back then. Even business classes were part of the curriculum. After graduation I had a one-year apprenticeship at Salon Cardeau on 5th Ave between Pike and Pine, downtown.

My passion for hair has expanded through Continuing Education and working in the field. From 1997 to 2000 I lived in Florida and enrolled in Esthetic School and worked at PGA National Resort & Spa as an esthetician doing facials. Upon returning to Seattle I worked at an Ayurvedic Clinic doing Shirodhana, body scrubs and facials. Massage school began in 2008 at the Cortiva 1000-hour program in downtown Seattle followed by 10 years of practice.

While still practicing and working as a cosmetologist, most recently at an organic salon in Edmonds, I enjoy being close to home. My new location is next door to my home with my husband, Bill, and dog, Foxy. I practice my craft in the Ridgecrest neighborhood of Shoreline. Please visit by appointment.
